I am a MS(c) in Biostatistics, UC San Diego and an incoming PhD student in Pharmacoepidemiology, Rutgers University this fall. Now I am a graduate student researcher in:

- Psychiatric Outcomes, Department of Psychiatry, School of Medicine
I was also a research intern in Data Science & Digital Health - Global Development at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine (2024). I will be a research intern in Clinical Pharmacology at Arcus Biosciences (2025).

Bachelor Thesis: OGD Astrocyte Mitochondria Imaging Analysis

Research Assistant. Supervised by Dr Susan Chalmers, Strathclyde Institute Of Pharmacy And Biomedical Sciences (SIPBS), University of Strathclyde.
- Utilizing FIJI-affiliated ImageJ, aided with Mitochondria Analyzer & KymoAnalyzer plugins, to analyze the shape, size, and localisation of astrocyte mitochondria under oxygen/glucose deprivation (OGD) conditions.
- Statistical analysis of acquired data provides insights into astrocyte mitochondria state in ischaemic stroke.
Doxorubicin & Trastuzumab Cardiotoxicity QSP-PBPK-TD Platform

Research Assistant. Supervised by Dr Hua He, Center of Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics, School of Pharmacy, China Pharmaceutical University.
- Developed an in silico platform integrating QSP-PBPK modeling and hiPSC-CM data to predict cardiotoxicity risk of anti-tumor drug combinations, conducting simulations and sensitivity analyses to evaluate effects of doxorubicin & trastuzumab on cardiac functions.
- Ensured reliability and clinical relevance by validating in silico predictions against clinical trial data and adjusting parameters to reflect physiological differences.
- Gained insights into factors driving cardiotoxicity in anti-tumor therapies, identified synergistic effects of doxorubicin and trastuzumab, and highlighted individual patient variability in drug response.
- Provided valuable feedback by offering a predictive tool for safer drug combination therapies and informing clinical guidelines to reduce cardiotoxicity incidence, thus improving patient outcomes.
PBPK Modeling of Meropenem in Premature Infants
2021.10 – 2022.03
Research Assistant. Supervised by Dr Hua He, Center of Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics, School of Pharmacy, China Pharmaceutical University.
- Built a physiologically-based pharmacokinetics (PBPK) model based on healthy adults. It expanded it to premature infants and focused on time points during preterm birth, organ development and abnormal drug transporter OAT3 expression due to organ maturity.
- Adapted the constructed model to common preterm infant diseases (pneumonia, sepsis, and meningitis).
CRISPR/dCas9-based MnP-AAO-HFB1 PE-Degradator

Key member & Modeler. Supervised by Dr Meiling Lu, Department of Biochemistry, School of Life Science and Technology, China Pharmaceutical University.
- Simulated enzyme productions in our polyethylene (PE) degradation system, calculated function proteins’ predicted outputs and proposed industrial manufacturing improvements.
- Applied statistical methods (support vector machine, k-nearest neighbouring, random forest and principle component analysis) to optimize manganese peroxidase (MnP).
- The results are now presented in iGEM 2021 as Team CPU_CHINA.
Biosynthesis Pathway in Arctium lappa L. with High-Throughput Sequencing
2020.10 – 2021.08
Research Assistant. Supervised by Dr Yucheng Zhao, Department of Chinese Medicine Resource Science, School of Traditional Chinese Medicine, China Pharmaceutical University.
- Utilized high-throughput sequencing to conduct Arctium lappa L. genome research.
- Explored the biosynthesis pathway of arctiin in Arctium lappa L. by means of multi-omics (genome, transcriptome, and metabolome) of Arctium lappa L., and carried out the preliminary wet experiment.
